It's a New Day

Mayor Faith Day has lived in Catlettsburg her entire life, and has worked and owned a business here.

“That’s the reason I wanted to do this,” Day said of running for Mayor of her hometown. She wants to restore Catlettsburg so that future generations will be able to live in a vibrant city with a bright future.

History

Catlettsburg's history begins in the decades directly following the American Revolution, as many frontiersmen passed through the area on their western trek along the Ohio River.

Alexander Catlett, the first landowner of the area, came to the site in 1798.
